KCity brings together multidisciplinary scientific expertises for urban innovation and the territory integrated development, that we use in an “operational and strategic” key within real urban regeneration processes.

Paolo Cottino


Urbanist and policy designer, PhD in Planning and Public Policies of the territory is a founding member of KCity since 2009. Between 2001 and 2008 he was a member of the Urban Policy area of ​​the Institute for Social Research and since 2003 for about a decade he carried out research and teaching activities at the Politecnico di Milano, where he conducted numerous researches, published articles and monographs in the sector and in 2012 he obtained the national scientific qualification for the teaching of Urban and Territorial Planning. Today he is a Board Member of AUDIS (Association of Urban Areas Dismesse), professor of the Master URISE (Urban Regeneration and Social Innovation) at the IUAV of Venice and in 2017 was identified by the Directorate General for Contemporary Art and Architecture and Urban Suburbs of MIBACT as national expert in city making processes. He has recently directed assignments on behalf of the Lombardy Region, the Cariplo Foundation, the Metropolitan City, Edison, the De Agostini Foundation, dealing with the definition of integrated regeneration strategies and projects to enhance and refurbish real estate assets with a view to social impact.

Nicla Dattomo


Graduated in Architecture and PhD in Urban Planning, for fifteen years she has worked in the field of architectural, urban and landscape planning and territorial planning, with specific skills in conceptual design and feasibility analysis for the development of building projects and urban transformation.

Dario Domante


Graduated in Territorial Planning at Politecnico di Milano, he participated in the Executive Programme in Real Estate and Real Estate Finance at SDA Bocconi. He has a ten-year experience as Project Manager for the Milan Metropolis Agency working on local development process also in the field of European Funds and Programmes Management.

Lorenzo Penatti


Graduated in Territorial Planning at Politecnico di Milano, he holds a Master Degree in Territorial Marketing and Local Development Policies of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He has a 15 years experience in plan and projects design for the development of cities and territories during which he worked for Eupolis, Research Institute of Regione Lombardia.

Alice Franchina


Graduated in architecture, PhD in Urban and Territorial Planning at Università di Palermo and Birmingham City University with a thesis on the ecosystem services in urban planning and policies. She obtained a Master in Landscape Architecture and a Masters in Europroject Manager at Sole24Ore.

Giulia D’Antonio


Architect and Urban Planner, she graduated at Iuav Università di Venezia, she studied at Universidade Tecnica in Lisbon and she had several academic and professionals experiences in Italy and abroad (in particular Portugal, France and Shanghai) developing competences also in graphic and communicative field.

Matteo Pettinaroli


Graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, he had academic and professionals experiences in social architecture in Madrid and Santiago del Chile. He won Vallenar Connecta, international competition for students on urban regeneration and founded the collective Needle-agopuntura urbana.
