A reuse of a historic “villa” to integrate cultural and urban policies
The project proposes a strategy for the enhancement of the cultural circuit of an 18th century “villa” within the wider system of near open spaces and underutilized outbuildings. Fondazione Cariplo selected and co-financed the feasibility study, as part of the first phase of the “Enhancing the cultural activities as a development factor of urban areas” call for tender. The study led to the activation and the management of a planning workshop. The six-month workshop helped to revitalize the spaces of the villa and led to the involvement of more than 40 local organizations in promoting strategic thinking on cultural policies. Moreover, it has provided expertise for the deepening of technical, economic and management feasibility aspects.
