KCity ha offerto supporto per definizione strategica più strutturata del progetto funzionale e gestionale attuale tramite un percorso volto ad esplorare e approfondire possibili scenari di innovazione con il coinvolgimento di tutti i soggetti sottoscrittori dell’Accordo di valorizzazione e di quelli attualmente insediati all’interno dello spazio.

KCity è partener tecnico di IRS per la proposta formativa e la conduzione degli incontri che hanno visto la partecipazione di oltre 20 enti e organizzazioni, provenienti dalle regioni del centro-nord, che condividono esperienze e apprendimenti relativi ad aspetti chiave per la configurazione di politiche, strategie e modelli di intervento per un nuovo welfare abitativo.

KCity è parte di un raggruppamento di professionisti incaricati dello sviluppo del progetto tecnico, occupandosi in particolare della definizione dei layout funzionali e dell’organizzazione degli spazi a supporto della ridefinizione del servizio, anche attraverso scelte di arredo definite attraverso un approccio di design collaborativo.

KCity has been commissioned to support the Administration in exploring the feasibility of this approach with reference to selected Multifunctional Community Centres considered most suitable. This will be carried out through a participatory process involving local Municipalities and the relevant Departments interested in experimenting with integrated and shared management of the facilities.

KCity is one of the expert organisations selected by the Foundation to support the design of proposals shortlisted through the call for tenders. Specifically, KCity provides consultancy and technical assistance in applying the method of temporary and transitory reuse and monitoring as a tool for ongoing project development.

After leading the co-programming process, KCity is now supporting and working alongside IRS in facilitating the co-design process between the Municipal Administration and the organisations selected through a public tender. The aim is to precisely define the management plan and financial framework for the operation of each of the 35 facilities involved.

KCity has been commissioned to explore possible alternative scenarios for organisation and investment through targeted analysis of the knowledge base, and to define the service model also in relation to potential pilot projects. These will be subject to a preliminary assessment of implementation feasibility within the context of selected real estate opportunities already identified.

KCity collaborates with IRS in the design and management of the seminar series, with particular focus on the comparison of regional policy frameworks, the planning and governance of the housing services chain, integrated service centres (e.g. housing agencies), the social and integrated management of public and social housing services, and the networks of actors and collaborative models.

KCity is supporting the Administration in applying to the ‘Places to Regenerate’ call promoted by Fondazione Cariplo, by defining the functional project and the management strategy for the regeneration process. This also includes the development of a temporary and transitory use programme involving local social and cultural actors.
