KCity, an advisor to the Foundation since its inception, is working to replicate and expand the model that has already been successfully tested in the Parco dei Melograni pilot project, as a strategic approach to promoting initiatives and programs for territorial regeneration with a social impact, both at the local level in the municipality of Varano and throughout the entire Valceno region.

KCity has been tasked with providing technical support for the assessment of the wealth of experience and expertise that the consortium’s cooperatives already possess in the sector, taking into account both the opportunities arising from policy innovations and the changing landscape of demand, which is giving rise to new needs.

Following its proposal and coordination of the initiative ‘Let’s Build Community Spaces Together’, KCity continues in its advisory role, supporting an experimental approach based on the temporary and transitory use model. This involves engaging local actors in the management of spaces and services within a green area that aspires to become the new focal point of village life and a point of attraction for the entire valley.

After successfully supporting the design of the funding application, KCity has been appointed as advisor for the implementation of the initiative, overseeing project management as well as monitoring and evaluation of the outcomes. The aim is to develop an innovative and integrated system of educational services as a vehicle for regenerating the local community.

KCity is part of the advisory team of the Competence Center established by Fondazione Cariplo, with specific responsibility for providing expert support to assist the entities in developing the tools and methods for piloting transitional initiatives through community engagement, and for monitoring the resulting feedback and lessons learned to inform the final project design.

KCity has been tasked with supporting the creation and development of an agency dedicated to promoting and organising new housing services in the area. This involves conducting a study to identify potential management models and to assess the feasibility of various alternative scenarios for structuring the agency’s activation process.

KCity has been commissioned to explore possible alternative scenarios for organisation and investment through targeted analysis of the knowledge base, and to define the service model also in relation to potential pilot projects. These will be subject to a preliminary assessment of implementation feasibility within the context of selected real estate opportunities already identified.
