A park as a social cohesion device
The project proposal was prepared on the basis of a mandate from the non-profit organizations network, which has been active for some time with social projects within the Lambro Park in Milan.
Pursuant to the objectives of the call for tender, KCity endorsed the development of an intervention strategy enabling it to streamline and coordinate the organizations’ activities, in order to increase the use of the Lambro Park, and turn it into a lively and comfortable area where different groups of people can invest their skills in individual and collective wellbeing. The feasibility study helped to identify types of users and their needs, to determine critical issues related to times and ways in which the park is used, to find out which local resources can be activated, as well as to eventually identify opportunities related to the local context.
