Social Housing strategies in the perspective of urban regeneration
With the research program “Models and tools to promote smart communities, in order to contribute to relevance and polarity urban growth”, Regione Lombardia analyzed models and tools that aimed to be a reference for innovative urban regeneration plans and programs, albe to implement regional housing policies and implement the new innovations previewed by the the new Regional Law, Legge Regionale 16/2016 “Disciplina regionale dei servizi abitativi”.
The first step of the KCity’s research defined innovative themes and strategic orientations already experimented in other territorial contexts, concerning policies and projects about local development. Those case studies could be a reference for the experimentation in housing policies promoted by Regione Lombardia; the second part of the research concerned the preliminary definition of criteria for the selection of the areas, the evaluation of projects quality and the economic sustainability for a first pilot initiative.
