Planning a social housing project in Bergamo
The project “Casa Integra” is one of the first experiences of social housing actually made in Lombardy. The initiative is sponsored by a privately owned company (Azzano 2000 Ltd.), with the consortium of companies “Costruire Abitare Futuro”, and with the participation of the Municipality of Bergamo. Lombardy Region, in partnership with the non-profit organization Fondazione Casa Amica co-financed the project. KCity directly supported the birth and development of this non-profit organization that promotes housing services management. The housing project is almost completed and includes affordable rental housing and rent-to-buy apartments (for a total of 70 units), as well as a part of commercial services on the ground floor.
