Models and strategies for social housing real estate management
In the design of the first social housing interventions, “management” was a secondary (if not a marginal) issue, compared to architectural design and construction. Three organizations that have been operating in Lombardy for a long time set themselves, as an ambitious goal, the creation of a management model prototype. Capitalizing on their assets of knowledge and competences accumulated over the years, they have started negotiations with Banca Prossima to check its willingness to support the initiative. The decision was taken to delegate a task to external professionals.
KCity assisted the group to organize themselves on a regional level as a pool of experts for the evaluation of social housing criticalities, concerning property and facility management issues, as well as of management of supplementary services besides dwelling itself (social backup and activation, support to the most critical situations, assistance in autonomy paths, etc.).
